GEDANKENstoff
A project for the mind.
A labyrinth of cloths, soaked in colors. People are searching for their way.
Thought fabric represents the world of thoughts. They surround us like cloths. A symbol, a vehicle for our own inner world and the opinions of others. The color indicates how thoughts touch us and leave their mark. If a thought only brushes against us fleetingly, the trace is barely perceptible. Thoughts that we engage with, that we hold onto, leave imprints.
Drops on the ground are like memories – we encounter them again and again on our way through the labyrinth.
During this process, the person chooses their own pace in the form of music. Everyone moves through their world differently: quickly, slowly, in the rhythm of their own time.
When I started, I didn't realize how much the outcome depended on the interaction between them. Some were readily available, easy to find; others hid in the labyrinth of thoughts. Tracing their path, crossing their trail, was often difficult.
So the project became a study – for the people in the labyrinth and for me. Quite a few times, after such an encounter, I felt completely drained. Sitting alone in the studio afterward, I would suddenly realize the music was still playing. I was like in a tunnel, searching for the moment.

What began with the first person in the labyrinth has long since become a journey that is far from over. With each additional participant, this study deepens, and the results become more complex with every new encounter.
